Dana: Welcome to 3-Minute Swahili Season 1, Lesson 2 - Greetings. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to greet someone in Swahili when you arrive and when you leave.

Dana: Here's the way to say “Hello.” in Swahili.
Medina: [Normal] Habari.
Dana: This expression has only one word, which means “Hello.”
Medina: [Normal] habari [Slow] habari
Dana: Listen again to the word meaning “Hello.”
Medina: [Slow] Habari. [Normal] Habari.
Dana: Ok, now let's see the way to say “Good evening.”
Medina: [Normal] Habari ya jioni.
Dana: First is a word meaning “hello,” again.
