As I understand it, ONE potato is kiazi whereas potatoes (plural) is viazi.

Kiazi is a potato. Viazi means the same but in plural. The name kiazi is sometimes used to name other underground roots just like yam.

In the lesson notes for this potato is down as viazi but the video says kiazi. Which one is correct? When i looked them up in the dictionary on the site viazi came up as potato and kiazi showed kiazi kikuu which was yam.
